African Dream
Donation protected
My parents Katherine and Groesbeck Parham just watched their retirement dream go up in flames. My father has been living and working in Zambia fighting HIV, HPV and cervical cancer with a team of nurses in Sub-Saharan Africa for 20 years. Their dream was to own a farm and become self-sufficient, which they were on their way to achieving. This year they raised their first crop of organic soybeans to take to the market. An undertaking they started in their golden years.
Around midnight in Zambia, my mother woke up and went into the kitchen and it was on fire. They were living their dream and finally sharing it with one of their children and three of their grandchildren, who had all just arrived in the last few days. The fire took clothing, personal memories, passports, credit cards, bank cards, books, computers, cell phones, food and many more immeasurables. They are being supported by the community there, temporarily, but are currently unable to access any funds due to loss of technology and adequate identification. I am reaching out to anyone who can help me help them with any amount to assist them in rebuilding and getting their home back. Anything you can assist them with would be greatly appreciated.
