Hello my name is Joseph I am a restaurant manager and a care taker for my parents. My mom is recovering from a leg and several toe amputations and still has open wounds. My dad has been out of work for 5 months on a medical leave he had a skin graft surgery on Wednesday and can not put any weight on his foot or he could be facing a foot amputation. We were working with the Sarasota Emergency Rental Assistance Program and was approved. Our lease was up on the 15 of this month. The landlord refused to work and except payment from them and wouldn't renew the lease. We got a 24 hour notice on Tuesday. I was only able to get enough stuff to survive for the next few days. I was able to get us a hotel room for the last few nights, but don't know what I am going to do for Sunday and Monday untill I get my check on Tuesday. With my parents having open wounds a shelter is out of the question they will end up getting an infection since they have open wounds. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I don't know what to do right now. If it was just me I would sleep in my car but having to care for the two of them as well is putting my at a loss of what to do.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: 

 I have reached out to all resources available in my area I know when we find a new place the rental assistance will help us with paying to move in and will send the payment directly to the landlord. What I still need some.help with right now is keeping a roof (hotel) over my parents head because all shelters I spoke to are not setup to handle someone disabled like my mother and they were concerned she could get an infection. I have been paying for the hotel, U-Haul, storage unit so we didn't loose all of our belongings and I am getting scared that myoney is going to run out, because one person salary can only go so far. Any help is a blessing and you have no idea how much it is appreciated. Thank you for your generosity and huge heart. Once we get into a place again I already have the intentions on paying it back and finding someone in need to help them since people have been so nice to help us in our time of need. Even if all you do is share this post on your page/social media. Again thank you and will keep everyone updated. 

UPDATE:

My dad just had to have an emergency leg amputation on Saturday 2-12. His infection was life threatening and they had to do it the same day that they told him. 

UPDATE 2/25/22 

My dad is in the rehabilitation center at the hospital and is doing very well. They had to do two different surgies 3 days apart. The first one they amputated below the knee, then three days later they had to go back and amputate above the knee. I am still at the motel with my mom and her service dog. I have been searching every day to find a place to move into. Especially with my dad coming out of rehab. The motel has me almost completely tapped out of money right now. I have been doing anything and everything in my powers to fix this. Thank you everyone!!

we are still trying to find a rental it is very slim pickings right now and am also waiting on an agency here in town to get back with me about helping us out. I am coming up short on paying for the hotel. If anyone could help would be greatly appreciated and even if you don't want to donate directly to here you could even call the hotel that is what I need right now could careless about the money just want it to go towards to the hotel.
