My grandfather, Jose, was an immigrant from Mexico who spent his life working tirelessly to support his entire family back in Mexico. He came to the United States when my mother was very little, leaving them and working all kinds of jobs until he settled at a car wash. For as long as I can remember, he worked at Tan's Touchless Carwash--working almost every day, even into his late years.
Even though he worked long hours, he found time to call and send support to his family back in Mexico. On my mother's side, he was the only one in the United States. He was able to carry his weight, although being many thousands of miles away.
Now, as we honor his life, our wish is for him to rest peacefully back in Mexico, where his family still remains. Any support will be used towards the funeral and transportation, and will help our family through this difficult time. We are very grateful for any and all help. Thank you.
