Hello, everyone! My name is Felicia, Lisa’s daughter. My mom has been fighting terminal colon cancer since October 2024. Not only in her colon, but also in her lungs, lymph nodes, and hip bone, she has been giving all to this fight. My mom has been a superhero. She continues to be a loving and active grandma, helping where she can, and even working at her job. Amazing, right? My mom has been strong through the blood clots, the multi-day hospital stays, the invasive tests, the terrible side effects of her chemo treatments, the sickness, and the horrible pain. Currently, my mom is not able to eat anything and has dropped 71lbs in a few months. We’ve been experimenting with different ways to overcome this, but right now, we're celebrating at least 400/500 calories a day. Little victories are important. She has grown weaker, but is still fighting with everything in her. It would be ideal for my mom to relax and figure out a way to eat more calories. Her oncologist will not administer her chemotherapy until her weight stabilizes, and like I said, we’re celebrating if she has 400 cals a day. She has gone without a chemotherapy treatment for over a month now.

With this said, it has come to a time when the effects of chemo have weighed her down significantly. My mom does not have any more PTO/sick time left and will no longer have a source of income. As you can imagine, having cancer is no cheap deal, so the stress of having no income is draining.

Many people have asked my mom for the link to her GoFundMe, but if anyone knows my mom, they know she’s incredibly selfless. The decision to make this has added a great deal of weight to her shoulders, but I know it will only be met with compassion from her loving community.
