Remembering Anthony Azize

It is with the deepest sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Anthony. After a courageous and hard-fought battle, Anthony peacefully took his final breath at 9:30 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Anthony was a bright light in our lives — full of strength, warmth, and kindness. His spirit touched everyone who knew him, and his memory will forever live on in our hearts. He is survived by his loving parents, Stephanie and Anthony, and his cherished siblings Jarrell, Noel, Zaylie, and Masen. Their pain is unimaginable, but their love for him is endless. Please keep the Azize family in your thoughts and prayers.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been keeping Anthony and his family in their thoughts and prayers. Your support means the world to them during this incredibly difficult time.

Anthony just turned 16 years old on February 20, 2025. He is a kind, sweet, and energetic young man who is cherished by his family and friends. He’s one of five siblings and brings joy to everyone around him.

On February 15, Anthony woke up with a lump on his neck and shortness of breath, prompting his family to rush him to Orlando Health hospital in Florida. After an X-ray and MRI, doctors discovered a 9 cm mass in his chest cavity, pressing against his heart. He was quickly transferred to Nemours Children's Hospital, where a team of doctors suspected lymphoma. Fortunately, the MRI suggested that the cancer hadn’t spread to his brain, but further tests were necessary to understand the extent of the condition.

On February 17, after more intensive tests—including a spinal tap, two bone marrow biopsies, and a biopsy of the mass in his neck—Anthony was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Currently, Anthony is receiving chemotherapy to shrink the mass in his chest. He underwent a procedure to have a central IV placed, which will stay in for the next 48-72 hours. He will then undergo surgery to add two ports for further cancer treatment. Unfortunately, he had a setback on the night of February 19, when one of his lungs collapsed, and doctors had to insert a chest tube.

Anthony’s journey will be long, with the projected treatment plan lasting 2-3 years. His immediate care includes 28 days of hospitalization, followed by chemotherapy twice a week for the next year. Afterward, he will continue treatment with oral medication for up to two years.

This is an overwhelming time for Anthony’s parents and his four siblings. While they are managing the emotional toll, the financial burden of medical bills and other expenses is an added stress that we hope to alleviate with your help.

We are asking for your support in easing their financial worries during this challenging journey. No amount is too small, and every donation brings us one step closer to supporting Anthony and his family as they face this battle.

Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and prayers. Your support means everything to them.
