Hello everyone!❤️ We are a couple from Sweden, who really need help with our dog. Our dog is a long-haired German Shepherd named Nox. Nox is our dream dog that we got so that we would have a best friend with us on long forest walks and explore the world. Unfortunately, this happiness did not last long. When Nox was about 1 year old, he started scratching himself terribly. After many vet visits, tests and many different medications, we still do not know what exactly Nox is allergic to. But for almost 3 years, Nox has had to take cortisone. Shortly after all this, Nox suffered from diarrhea and vomiting, so intense that he had to be hospitalized. but luckily he recovered quite quickly. After that, we booked an appointment for an X-ray because his knee had a clicking sound. The day for the X-ray came, the wait for the X-ray results felt very long. The vet came back and informed us that Nox unfortunately has severe hip dysplasia on both sides, the left side is worse than the right. Here we sat thinking that it would be nice to maybe find out what is wrong with Nox's knee.. This news was absolutely heartbreaking. I will probably never forget that day. Since then, Nox has received various painkillers and we have gone everywhere in the hope of other treatments before we do an operation. Today, Nox is 4 years old and has more zest for life than anyone else. Unfortunately, medication is not helping as much as we would like anymore. We have therefore decided that Nox will have a hip operation. We have just been given an appointment for the operation now, January 20th. But now we are standing here with a dog who needs medication for his itching and special food that costs more than you can really afford. also medication for his pain. The operation will cost 95,000 SEK in total. The insurance covers some, but we will still have to pay close to 50,000 SEK ourselves. We are now appealing for help for our beloved Nox, whom we absolutely do not want to lose. We love this dog so much and want to be able to do everything we can so that he can continue to live his life with us. The vet and surgeon believe in very good results for Nox after a hip surgery. So now we are asking for help, from the bottom of our hearts! Please help us help our beloved dog to a pain-free life❤️❤️❤️
