About us:

Wäsby Warriors is an american football club in Upplands Väsby (just north of Stockholm, Sweden)

Wäsby Warriors began its operations in 2006. We are a children and youth club with activities for boys and girls aged 8-19.

The club was started to give children and youths the opportunity to play/train American football in Upplands Väsby. We aim to contribute to children and youths having a fun and active leisure time where everyone is involved.

American football is the ultimate team sport where everyone has an important role and play for each other!

English version:

An non-profit association, such as ours is entirely dependent on our membership and player fees. These fees, along with the activity contributions we receive from the municipality, are, for the most part, our only source of income.

Historically, we've always had very low fees. This has been necessary to compete with other sports and attract as many active participants as possible. Unfortunately, this means we can't afford to make new investments at the required rate.

The player fee for our children and youth includes the loan of all equipment needed for American football - helmet, shoulder pads, training jersey, shorts including hip and knee pads, and a game uniform.

In 2025, we face a massive challenge. A significant portion of our helmets, which we loan out to our players in U11, U13, and U15, are too old. As you can imagine, it's extremely important that the helmets we loan out are safe and meet standards.

Replacing 50-75 helmets in one go is a huge investment that we will never be able to afford on our own. Therefore, we are asking for help and hope that this fundraiser can support us.

Som ideell förening så är vi helt beroende på våra medlems- och spelaravgifter. Dessa avgifter + de aktivitetsbidrag vi erhåller av kommunen är, i stort sätt, den enda inkomstkällan vi har.

Swedish version:

Vi har historiskt sett alltid haft väldigt låga avgifter hos oss. Detta har varit ett måste för att kunna konkurrera med andra sporter och locka till oss så mycket aktiva som möjligt. Tyvärr så leder detta till att vi inte har råd att utföra nyinvesteringar i den takt som krävs.

I spelaravgiften till våra barn- och ungdomar så ingår lån av all utrustning som man behöver i amerikansk fotboll - hjälm, axelskydd, träningströja, byxor inkl höft- och knäskydd och matchställ

Inför 2025 så står vi inför en jätteutmaning. Större delen av våra hjälmar som vi lånar ut till våra spelare i U11, U13 och U15 är alldeles för gamla. Som ni säkert förstår är det extremt viktigt att de hjälmar vi lånar ut är säkra och håller måttet.

Att byta ut 50-75 hjälmar i ett svep är en jätteinvestering som vi aldrig kommer ha råd med själva. Därför ber vi om hjälp och vi hoppas att denna insamling kan stötta oss.
