Hjälp Attention att bo med sin dotter vid universitetet!

Hej!

Min bonusdotter Attention studerar på universitet i Sydafrika (där hon är född och bor). I januari födde hon en dotter, baby Akeelah Sandra ♥️

Just nu har hon ett rum nära universitetet där hon inte får bo med sin dotter, i slutet av februari var hon därför tvungen att lämna henne med sin släkting för att återvända till sina studier, vilket har varit fruktansvärt tufft för dom båda. Släktingen kan inte längre ta han om dottern och Attention mår inte bra att vara ifrån henne heller.

Nu har Attention fått möjlighet att flytta till ett ställe där hon kan bo tillsammans med dottern under tiden hon studerar, men hyran är dubbelt så hög. Hon får studiebidrag till mat från staten under studietiden (ca 840kr/mån) och vid några tillfällen per år även bidrag till studiematerial. Bidrag till boende ska betalas ut varje månad, men sen skolstarten i januari har studenter inte fått det utlovade bidragen och stora strejker sker i landet.

Jag hjälper Attention så mycket jag kan ekonomiskt, med som ensamstående trebarnsmamma är det svårt att räcka till.

Attention skulle behöva betala 1800 sydafrikanska rand/månad (ca 1000kr/mån) i hyra för ett rum där hon kan bo med sin dotter + en månads deposition.

Jag kan inte hjälpa henne med det, då jag redan bidrar med pengar till annat så som kläder, mat, ersättning och blöjor vid behov. Universitetet ligger även ca 4 timmars resväg från hennes hemby, där dottern är för tillfället.

Attention har inget socialt nätverk eller familj som kan hjälpa henne ekonomiskt alls, tillvaron är tuff för de flesta.

Det här är mina barns storasyster och systerdotter och jag vill mer än allt i världen att dom ska må bra och vara trygga och att Attention kan slutföra sina universitetsstudier, hon har mindre än 1,5 år kvar av sitt kandidatprogram.

Jag hade en dröm om att kunna bjuda in henne och dottern till Sverige igen i sommar, men ser ingen möjlighet till det ekonomiskt då visum och resa skulle kosta minst 10.000kr.

Just nu är hennes tillvaro i hemlandet min största prio och jag ber därför om hjälp.

med 15.000 svenska kronor skulle hon kunna bo tryggt med sin dotter i stort sett resten av sin studietid, om jag även fortsättningsvis kan bidra med stöd.

Jag hoppas att du har möjlighet att bidra med något, litet som stort, hon är en fantastisk person som kämpar så starkt och mycket för sig och sin dotter. Dom förtjänar framtidstro och all lycka i världen

Hi

My stepdaughter, Attention, is studying at a university in South Africa (where she was born and lives). In January, she gave birth to a daughter, baby Akeelah Sandra. ♥️ 

Right now, she has a room near the university where she is not allowed to live with her daughter.

At the end of February, she was therefore forced to leave her baby with a relative and return to her studies, which has been incredibly tough for both of them. The relative can no longer take care of her daughter, and Attention is struggling with being away from her as well. 

 Now, Attention has the opportunity to move to a place where she can live with her daughter while continuing her studies, but the rent is twice as high. She receives a state study grant for food during her studies (about 840 SEK/month) and, a few times a year, additional support for study materials. Housing allowances are supposed to be paid monthly, but since the school year started in January, students have not received the promised payments, and there are major strikes happening in the country. 

I am helping Attention financially as much as I can, but as a single mother of three, it is difficult to make ends meet. 

Attention would need to pay 1,800 South African rand per month (about 1,000 SEK/month) in rent for a room where she can live with her daughter, plus a one-month deposit. Unfortunately, I am unable to help her with this, as I am already supporting her with other essentials such as clothing, food, formula, and diapers when needed. The university is also about a four-hour journey from her home village, where her daughter is currently staying. 

Attention has no social network or family who can help her financially at all—life is tough for most people there. She is my children’s older sister and their niece, and more than anything in the world, I want them to be safe and well, and for Attention to be able to complete her university studies—she has less than 1.5 years left of her bachelor’s degree. 

 I dreamed of inviting her and her daughter to Sweden again this summer, but I see no financial possibility of doing so, as the visa and travel costs would be at least 10,000 SEK. 

Right now, her situation in her home country is my top priority, and that is why I am asking for help. 

With 15,000 SEK, she would be able to live safely with her daughter for nearly the rest of her studies, as long as I can continue to provide additional support. I hope you are able to contribute something, big or small. 

She is a wonderful person who is fighting so hard for herself and her daughter. They deserve hope for the future and all the happiness in the world.
