Hi everyone,

We are raising funds to support our dear friend Keara Giannini , who was seriously injured after being hit by a car while walking home from work. The driver was traveling approximately 45 mph in a 15 mph zone, and the impact caused life-altering injuries.

Keara was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is currently recovering from two broken ribs, a significant concussion, and a small brain bleed that doctors expect to heal on its own—but requires rest, monitoring, and time away from work.

Unfortunately, Keara does not have health insurance, and the medical bills from the ambulance ride, ER care, imaging, and follow-up treatment are already overwhelming. On top of that, she is unable to work during her recovery, and this all happened during the holiday season, making the situation even more stressful.

At this time, it is unclear whether the driver’s insurance will cover her medical costs, and we want to make sure she can focus on healing—not worrying about rent, food, or mounting medical debt.

• Medical bills and follow-up care

• Lost wages while she is unable to work

• Basic living expenses during recovery
