God is eternally gracious, loving , powerful, and merciful. We can't always predict what tests or challenges could happen In life , nor can we always be prepared for them. On the morning of October 6th, 2018 I was hit, while walking, by a car traveling 50mph. I was immediately transported unconscious to the closest major trauma center, I would remain unconscious for the entire next month in the Hospital's Intensive Care Unit, or ICU. I would also remain unable to speak for 20 days after I woke , and I was unlikely to survive as I later had learned my heart had stopped twice. On my 14th day, things turned for the worst as many of my vital organs started shutting down.  

        I, for two months had no kidney function, miraculously God restored them. For a total of three weeks I laid with my stomach completely cut wide open in hopes to save my life. While the Doctors completed what totaled to 15 surgeries, I was still fighting for my life. This is something I or no one else could have ever been  prepared for, and throughout  this experience I sadly have had to learn about how your'e treated with not having  top notch insurance. I was unsafely discharged by the hospital with an existing serious infection to a 1 star rated, dilapidated, and squalid Senior Nursing Home. This was not the beautiful and well prepared facility that the doctor's had portrayed it to be. My neighbor never participated in the bathing arrangements even though he defecated and urinated on himself throughout  the day.

       The place was horrific, and I pray none of you or any of your loved ones ever have to experience a facility in such poor conditions with less than the minimal amount of care provided by staff. While in the middle of this situation, I began to experience more pain than I ever felt before since my ICU reawakening. I then was rushed by ambulance to another hospital where they found a more pronounced version of the infection that the previous hospital unsafely discharged me with. I immediately  underwent my 16th surgery, and to this day still have a drain surgically attached to my back. The well needed physical therapy was only offered back at the 1 star facility, or either go home without it, which I opted to do. With this tragic pause in my life, unfortunately  the expenses never took a break, and  now more than ever I need help financially in order to get my life  back on track until I can physically return back to work.  Any much needed assistance would be a huge help and
blessing thru this testing time in life.
