Hit Send: Sydney Jeans’s Debut Album

Hello lovely people! Family, friends, and new comers. If you don’t already know me, my name is Sydney Jean. You may or may not know, I am preparing to record my debut full length album and I am working to raise enough to complete the project and accompany it with a music video in the fall. I’ve created this gofundme with the hope of being able to make this dream a reality. I’ll begin the recording process with my producer Ian Hilvert along with Ivory Hilvert, at the beginning of May, 2023.

Over the last two years, I’ve been in a place of self discovery. I’d been removed from music or the thought of pursuing a musical career because the industry didn’t feel like there was space for me. While I know the industry is changing there have been days where I’ve doubted my worth and whether I thought my voice was meant to be heard or if I had anything profound to say.

Today, right now, I know that music is what I was born to do. I know that I have a voice meant to be shared, a story that can be impactful, and a passion for art and self expression. I’m shutting out the doubt and opening the door to chase after my dreams no matter how “far fetched” they feel. And I’m humbly asking you to join me in this journey.

Our goal for this project is $3500

It breaks down like this:

-$1500 production/mixing

-$300 mastering

-$800 music video

-$500 photography

-$400 props, costuming, promotion 

Anything raised over the goal will be put toward future projects, promotion, visuals, or shows.

My debut album will be titled “hit send”. It is a collection of letters I’d locked away. It is an ode to getting better and leaving pain behind.

I hope that these songs can be a source of understanding for anyone who’s felt the same. I hope they can be songs you’ll scream in your car to or let your tears fall to. I hope they offer a perspective that allows you to look inward if you need to. Most of all I hope they’re songs you interpret however you need to.

Lastly, I want to thank you for your time and your generosity. Thank you for believing in me, supporting me, and coming along on this project with me. I truly can’t wait to share it with you.
