Hi, my name is Alex. I am a 22 year old soon-to-be nursing student.

I was just involved in a major car collision that completely totaled my car. Not only was the other driver at fault, they did not have a drivers license, and they were also uninsured, meaning I won’t be able to receive proper compensation.

With me starting nursing school soon, this lack of compensation puts me in a very tight position financially. I have very limited resources and access to public transportation where I live. I try to utilize Lyfts and Ubers when possible, but even that is unaffordable when I need to travel to school, work, and back on a daily basis. Additionally, this incident has left me with body pain that makes it even more difficult to navigate my daily life.

Currently, I am relying on my friends to get where I need to be, but I’m sure you can understand why this is not sustainable long term. I cannot rely on my family due to them living in another state, but I cannot move in with them either due to school + lack of funds. I am working as much as possible, but with nursing school taking up a majority of my time, my salary barely makes a dent in the financial burden that this situation has left me in.

Any money I receive from donations will go towards savings for a new (used) car, OR to cover expenses for pursuing legal action against the one responsible for putting me in this position. I will be forever grateful to anyone who helps me to reach my goal, and I promise to use this money responsibly and only when necessary. Even the smallest bit helps.
