Hi everyone, I’m fundraising on behalf of our family friends to take some weight off of their plate. Lia their daughter was attending her cousin’s birthday party when a drunk driver tragically struck through the building. Lia is a fresh graduate, and has a whole life ahead of her. Lia is currently in the ICU and seriously injured at Beaumont Trenton. Below are the words shared from her father Josh.
“My heart is so heavy today I'm in the hospital today with my daughter that was badly injured by a drunk driver all the while listening to gut ranching sobs from the room next to us. The badly injured mother who lost her two kids in the same tragedy, the sound hurts me to the bone. The driver was a long time drunk that had been driving like this for decades and never thought it would cause something like this. It's crazy how such a frail old lady could bring such devastation with her car. So many people think/say I'm ok or I'm not that drunk and when you are drunk you don't truly know how drunk you are. One bad decision can affect so many. In the case of this lady years of bad decisions caught up to her. Unfortunately, her devastation chose our family and friends. Now a days we have Uber and cell phones to call for a ride. Yet some just get in there car and roll. Please don't be that person.” If you can’t donate, please share and keep them in your thoughts.
