Hello, my name is Erin Baker and I am raising funds for my friend, Francoise E Netter. I received a phone call from her at midnight before I was supposed to pick her up at the airport on the afternoon of 12/2. To my astonishment, she was calling me from the ER in Coronado, CA to tell me that she had been hit by a car while walking across the street. She rolled on the hood and hit the asphalt. The damage to her body was life-changing. She sustained injuries to her left arm and had to have immediate surgery on her left Tibial Plateau fracture which holds up the entire leg.
She was in the hospital in Coronado for nine days and sustained life-altering injuries that have severely affected her lifestyle, income, business, and complete way of life. She is a Movement Therapist, Educator, and Yoga Specialist and worked out 2-3 hours a day guiding others to live dynamically through integrating their bodies and minds. She has been fiercely independent all of her life. Now, she needs someone to live with her and help her 24 hours a day.
She has had to rent ramps for her home, a hospital bed, a wheelchair, multiple walkers, bath safety equipment and care that is not covered by insurance. She is seeking financial assistance to help pay for these bills and other out-of-pocket expenses, while accelerating her healing and compensating others who are helping her personally and professionally through this dark time.
Out of this enormous stress, pain and sleepless nights, her only intention is to heal as quickly as possible so that she can serve through her work again. She also would like to pay it forward with any monies left over, after her expenses are covered, for others experiencing similar difficult challenges, or offer them scholarships for her healing work.
