Please Help Us Get Bea Back on Her Hooves
At some point between Monday 6th October and Tuesday 7th October, our mum’s beautiful three-year-old New Forest pony, Bea, was hit by a vehicle between Hilltop and Ipers Bridge.
Whoever hit her left her there — injured, frightened, and in tremendous pain. Bea wasn’t found until the 8th, when a kind lady discovered her and stayed by her side until we could reach her.
Bea has suffered a fracture to her elbow, lacerations and a deep cut along her side. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s shown the most incredible strength and trust. She even allowed the vet to x-ray, cast her leg, and clean her wounds — all without sedation. She truly is the gentlest soul.
Why we need your help:
As a Forest Pony, Bea isn’t covered by insurance. Our riding ponies are insured, but our Forest Ponies sadly aren’t due to the cost- and as commoners, we receive no financial help when RTC injuries like this happen, especially when the driver breaks the law and doesn’t report the incident.
Bea’s treatment have already reached £700 with more to come as she continues to heal.
Any donation, no matter how small, would make a huge difference in helping Bea recover and give her the chance she deserves to live a long, happy life on the Forest.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for caring about Bea.
