37676632_1552327558345828_r.jpegSunday, March 10 at 9:30pm, Jarrett Suydam was walking home from work and was struck by a Blue pickup truck. The  passenger got out of the vehicle and looked at Jarrett. A bystander yelled, "Someone call 911!". At that point, the passenger jumped back in the truck and sped off, leaving Jarrett on the side of the road.

This happened on  Washington Ave heading towards Old Floral City Road.

Jarrett was rushed to Ocala Regional Trauma Center where he is still undergoing numerous surgeries.  As of right now, the doctors know he has 5 broken ribs, a broken pelvis, a ruptured bladder, internal bleeding, a broken clavicle, bruised lung, a laceration from his armpit to his hip and is on a ventilator. He had tire marks on his body from the truck running him over.

Jarrett is currently in surgery and has many more surgeries ahead of him. The doctors are trying to keep him stable at this point. He will not be able to have some of his surgeries until later in the week because of how extensive the damage is.

Jarrett has a LONG road of recovery ahead of him. He will have many months of rehab and maybe more surgeries in the months to come.

Jarrett and his wife Samantha will need your support. Jarrett will be in the hospital for an extended period of time. Right now, the doctors have not given Samantha a time frame, they are focused on getting Jarrett fixed as best as they can.

Please help the Suydams by donating to this fund. Jarrett works at the Family Dollar and does not have insurance. The cost of the Rehab centers is going to pile up quick. Please help us get Jarrett the best care by donating whatever you can. Please share this with your friends and family and Pray for Jarretts speedy recovery.

Thank you so much in advance.

Updates!!
Jarrett got out of bed for the first time and sat in a wheelchair. He can only go into a wheelchair for about 15 minutes but he got into one so, that is awesome!
But he is still in a lot of pain, and having issues but we are getting through it all.
Attached is a picture of a regular pelvis and his pelvis. We spoke to the doctor about the missing pieces in the X-ray and was told due to how bad the break was they had to remove some bones that were shattered. And he will have to have surgery in the future to put something there for better support

Keep the prayers coming!

With so many moving parts to jarretts recovery, there are bound to be hiccups along the way. The surgery yesterday was a success they were able to fix his catheter. His is resting today. Wish I could say comfortablely. The doctors think he has nerve damage on his left side which is causing tremendous pain and numbness. Please keep praying and sending positive vibes.
Thank you to everyone for your support. Xo

Jarrett is in surgery again. His catheter stopped draining so they have to go in there to see why and possibly try a different way to get him to drain
