My name is Honor Timko and I love baseball. I have been playing baseball since I was six years old. I practiced every single day the first year I learned about baseball except for the two days I went to a theme park. I got on a team and played really hard.
The pandemic stopped my baseball team from playing. When things got back to normal, I tried out for a new team. I got better and tried out for a tournament team. They were so much fun to play with.
Then I heard about Cooperstown Dreams Park when I was 11. It is for 12U so I had the dream of getting to play there with my team. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough players that wanted to go so I thought my dream was over. I stayed with my team for the year and then earned a spot on my middle school team in January. My new coach told me about a team that was looking for another player for Cooperstown.
Suddenly, my dream became a possibility again. I tried out and made the new team. They had already done fundraising for the trip. I am telling people my story because I know that there are people that like to help. Please consider helping me fundraise to fulfill my dream to play baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York. It is far from where I live in Miami. Thank you for your help. Please let other people know if you think that they would like to help too.
