The Jamaica Lacrosse Association needs your help to support our Men’s National Team on its 2023 World Lacrosse Championship run!

A grassroots organization run by dedicated volunteers, the Jamaica Lacrosse Association has grown from fostering the introduction of the sport in Jamaica a decade ago to fielding men’s and women’s National Teams for World Championship play! The next major event is the Men’s World Championships in San Diego, California from June 21 - July 1. This year, in addition to the Men’s National Team Competing in the World Championships, a Jamaica Lacrosse Association Team will compete in the Developmental Team Tournament that runs in partnership with the championships. Almost 50 athletes will represent Jamaica Lacrosse in these events!

Needless to say, it is a massive undertaking to get 2 teams to San Diego. We must transport players who reside in Jamaica, the U.S., Canada, and Europe, we must lodge and feed, and we must equip both teams. The teams also require coaching, training, support staff, and a host of other material supplies and services to compete at a high level. The greater majority of these costs are borne by the players.

This trip is VERY EXPENSIVE. The calculated budget for each team is approximately $50,000. So, the Jamaica Lacrosse Association, its coaches, players, and support staff must collectively raise $100,000 to send the 2 teams to the World Lacrosse Championships.

After placing 2nd and earning a silver medal in the Pan American Lacrosse Association regional qualifiers, Team Jamaica is poised to defend and improve upon its 13th place finish in the 2018 World Lacrosse Championships.
