Latinos are the most rapidly growing minority group in the United States, predicted to comprise of 29% of the population by 2050, yet they have the lowest college completion rate. While Latino high school graduation rates have improved, only 25% hold Bachelor Degrees.
LATINO YOUTH OUTREACH (LYO), a 501(c)3 designated nonprofit organization, assisting Latinos students to overcome the barriers that stand between them and a college degree, with workshops, mentoring and educational programs in STEM and scholarships for continuing education.
To INSPIRE, EDUCATE and EMPOWER inner city Latino youth from low-income families by providing resources to strengthen their development and promote the importance of FAMILY VALUES and STRONG COMMUNITIES and CONTINUING EDUCATION with Student Empowerment Workshops and HISPANIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD SCHOLARSHIP, honoring over 10,000 exceptional GRADUATING LATINO SENIORS for their academic excellence since 1995.

In addition, Latino Youth Outreach sports programs in moderate to low-income communities that play a positive role in the development of Latino youth by teaching the responsibility and commitment cultivated through their involvement, and the practicing of their individual skills learned through playing. In addition, to the importance of teamwork, social skills, healthy lifestyle, family values and the importance of education and navigating the complexities in reaching their goals.
