Grandma with Alzheimer’s Funeral & Hospital Fund

Hi, my name is Michelle and I'm trying to raise funds for my dear grandmother's funeral and medical costs that accumulated greatly over the last year, as she was in the hospital and suffered with Alzheimer’s. We expected her to be in for less than a few weeks and it turned into a 9-month stay and suddenly passed away on February 19th (last week).

Hisako (my grandma) was survived by (2 daughters, 2 grandkids and a new great-

grand-daughter) was always helping and taking care of her friends and family by doing so many nice things, just so hard to believe that she is gone now and over the last few years, started suffering from Alzheimer’s. At 82, she had a full life however there are only a few family members left to pick up the pieces.

Due to Covid, we were unable to visit her for the last 14 months. We had a trip planned to go visit grandma next month, so she could at least meet her great-grandaughter but she passed away suddenly last week. My grandfather is 90 and wheelchair bound, he is struggling greatly and is so shocked to lose her after 50+ years of marriage, he is sad and now alone as well.

We weren't expecting the funeral costs to be so high and even with the basic package, it is astronomically expensive. We are pitching in everything we can but we're still short about $18,000 and are looking for any help at all. We are making payment arrangements for the medical costs and are planning to pay those down with any additional funds.

My grandmother was such a beautiful spirit and the most loving and caring person I knew. She always put others first and has taught our family to always be loving, caring and helpful. Thank you in advance for your generosity and love..
