José Gregorio Hernández is a 68-year-old man, a father, a fighter, and someone with a deep desire to live. He has always been strong and healthy, but today he is facing a critical situation that puts his life at risk.

After several medical tests, he was diagnosed with severe coronary artery disease: three of his main heart arteries are critically blocked, with obstructions of up to 90%. This means that blood is not reaching his heart properly.

Recently, he suffered a heart attack… and survived. However, his condition remains extremely delicate.

Doctors have been clear: he urgently needs open-heart surgery, known as coronary artery bypass surgery. This procedure creates new pathways for blood to reach the heart, bypassing the blocked arteries and saving his life.

In Venezuela, the situation is even more difficult. Although public hospitals exist, the reality is that the family must provide all medical supplies, medications, pre- and post-operative tests, and surgical materials on their own. The cost is simply impossible for them to afford at this time.

Today, his children are starting this campaign with hope, love, and faith, trying to give their father a chance to keep living.

José Gregorio is not giving up. He wants to live, to spend more time with his family, to watch his loved ones grow, and to keep fighting as he always has.

José Gregorio Hernández es un hombre de 68 años, padre, luchador y con un profundo deseo de vivir. Siempre ha sido una persona fuerte y saludable, pero hoy enfrenta una situación crítica que pone su vida en peligro.

Tras varios estudios médicos, fue diagnosticado con una enfermedad coronaria severa: tiene tres arterias principales del corazón gravemente obstruidas, con bloqueos de hasta el 90% . Esto significa que la sangre no está llegando adecuadamente a su corazón.

Recientemente, sufrió un infarto… y logró sobrevivir. Sin embargo, su condición sigue siendo extremadamente delicada.

Los médicos han sido claros: necesita con urgencia una cirugía de corazón abierto, llamada cirugía de revascularización miocárdica (bypass coronario), un procedimiento que permite crear nuevas vías para que la sangre pueda llegar al corazón y así salvar su vida .

En Venezuela, la situación es aún más difícil. Aunque existen hospitales públicos, la realidad es que la familia debe conseguir por su cuenta todos los insumos, medicamentos, estudios pre y postoperatorios, y materiales quirúrgicos necesarios. El costo es simplemente imposible de cubrir en este momento.

Hoy, sus hijos hacen esta campaña con esperanza, amor y fe, buscando darle a su padre la oportunidad de seguir viviendo.
