Hey! It’s Coach Fred.
I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of Team Jonah (Jonah Piediscalzo) to ask for your support in an important cause that is close to my heart.
I’ve known his mother, Ashlie, for some time and had the pleasure of meeting Jonah during my summer baseball program. I obviously fell in love with the little dude instantly.
He is an 8-year-old boy from our community who has been facing frightening and unexplained medical issues. Though he appears healthy and active during the day, his oxygen levels drop dangerously low at night. His widowed mother has carried the weight of countless ER visits, testing, and travel to out-of-state specialists, all while continuing to provide for her family. The medical journey is ongoing, but the costs of travel, lodging, meals, and missed work have already placed a heavy burden on them.
On Saturday, November 15th, 2025, I will host Whole Day Walk — Team Jonah beginning at Aldi on East Gause. From sunrise to sunset, we will walk together across Slidell, visiting local businesses to shine a light on them and to raise funds and show Jonah and his family they are not alone.
We are inviting local businesses to partner with us. Here’s how you can help:
Sponsor-an-Hour: Pledge $250–$1,000 to sponsor one of the 12 walking hours. Your business name/logo will be highlighted in our posts and thank-yous.
Merchandise Support: Help cover the printing of shirts, wristbands, or stickers, which we will sell to raise funds. Sponsors will be acknowledged on event materials.
Direct Donation: Any gift, large or small, will go directly to Jonah’s travel, medical testing, and care.
In return, we will proudly recognize your business as a partner in this effort, both on the day of the walk and in our social media updates. Your support will not only help Jonah get the medical answers he needs but will also demonstrate how deeply our Slidell community stands together.
Thank you so much for your support.
Please pray for Jonah and his family.
Sincerely,
Coach Fred
