Support Hiroki in His Fight for Justice After Racial Abuse

Dear Dear Everyone Who Believes in Justice,

I’m Hiroki Goto, and I’m humbly asking for your help with a heart that’s weary but still holding hope. For nine years, I’ve tried to give what little I could to Australia—working tirelessly in restaurants and cafes and as a cleaning staff, serving meals during the Covid pandemic to those in need, and sorting clothes and essentials for refugees with Multicultural Australia. I paid to study at TAFE but I had to leave because of my severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and in the same time I was forced to leave my job of I started to have frequent panic attacks, dreaming of a career, but a cruel racial assault broke me, leaving me with PTSD that forced me to leave my studies behind.

I’m not a criminal—only someone who’s hurting. The Department of Home Affairs overlooks my nearly 100 medical records, threatens me with detention and deportation, and took my work permit. I lost my job, my chance at education, and now struggle just to eat or buy my PTSD medications. Without health insurance, no Medicare, I’m barely holding on. Yet I believe with all my soul that everyone has the right to rise from their fall—no matter the circumstances, even the racial abuse I’ve faced. I have that right too, and I’m clinging to it.

If I’m deported to Japan—where I have no family to rely on, no friends left, and no way to get my treatment because my PTSD medications are not authorised in Japan, —I’ll lose the gentle Queensland family I’ve found and the quiet dreams I carry. I’m softly asking for justice—not just for me, but for anyone hurting from hate—through my Change.org petition Hiroki's Change.org for Justice, praying for kindness and human rights. But right now, I need your warmth. A dollar to my GoFundMe Hiroki's GoFundMe for Justice and Support means a meal or a moment of peace—more than I can repay. If you can’t spare anything, would you please share my petition with a friend or loved one? Every signature feels like a hand reaching out.

I’m so tired, but your goodness keeps my heart beating. Please, if you can, donate or share—I’d be forever grateful for even the smallest light you bring me. Together, maybe my love for Australia can mend instead of break.

With all my gratitude and a hope that grows with you,

Hiroki Goto
