Hiroki's Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
This Christmas would be Hiroki's first. Sadly, he will not get to enjoy the holiday season because he was in a horrible accident and needs urgent care and attention.
On Thursday morning, December 8, Hiroki was hit by a car. He had just returned from his morning walk with my grandparents and was let off his leash too soon. Unfortunately, my grandfather, who has Alzheimer's, left the gate open. A car raced past and hit my little pup. The driver did not stop.
We dropped everything and immediately rushed Hiroki to the nearest emergency pet hospital. He was diagnosed with a punctured lung, fractured left shoulder, nerve damage in his right leg and a broken right shoulder. He needed immediate surgery and attention. My family and I are completely devastated and heartbroken because Hiroki is suffering but we would still like to do everything possible in order for him to recover.
However, the surgery and vet bills exceeded all our expectations and we do not have enough funds to pay for his surgery and stay at the hospital. We have paid as much of his expenses as we could but his bill has racked up to $7,000 and he is still in need of more care.
The holidays are one of the most difficult times to scavenge money to donate, but I humbly ask you to donate as much or as little as you can. Every dollar would help bring Hiroki back to his playful, loving self. And if you cannot donate, please share this with family and friends so that we can ensure Hiroki's recovery back home. It would be the greatest Christmas gift ever given. We greatly appreciate all efforts to get Hiroki home and on the road to recovery from the bottom of our hearts.
