I am turning 40 years old, and to celebrate, I am bringing my band, Backyard Wrestling to Los Angeles to play our first shows ever in the state of California.

My birthday wish is for Austin Powers Impersonator Richard Halpern to attend my birthday party on November 16th at Vine in Long Beach, CA.

We are an independent band that is flying across the country and renting equipment to play these shows. To be frank, we are already losing quite a bit of money on this excursion.

We do not choose to do this for monetary reasons, though. We are simply doing it for the love of the game and to celebrate an important milestone.

The additional cost of hiring an Austin Powers impersonator serves no practical purpose for us and is woefully outside of our budget. We just want him to be there because we think it would be funny.

After I shared a video about this on social media , many of you have reached out to ask if you could pitch in, which is why we have created this fundraiser.
