Hippotherapy for Hudson. Learning to walk.
Donation protected
Hudson was recently recommended Hippotherapy from his Occupational and Physical therapist. They both really believe he would benefit from it. Unfortunately, they do not take his insurance.
Hippotherapy is the use of horse back riding as a therapeutic or rehabilitative treatment, especially as a means of improving coordination, strength, and balance.
Why the horse? The average horse walks at a rate of 100 steps per minute. Just 5 minutes on a walking horse represents 500 nuero motor inputs to the patient.
He he would be working with a Physical Therapist on a horse.
