My name is P. Boomer Throop, and today my family & I are reaching out on behalf of someone who has meant a great deal to our family for many years. Our dear friend Hipolito—whom many travelers to the Dominican Republic may remember for his kindness and dedication as the Air Canada representative at the Bahia Principe in Rio San Juan—has suffered a severe ankle break while working on a construction site.

We first met Hipolito years ago while on vacation, and over countless visits he became far more than a friendly face at the resort. He became family. His generosity, his spirit, and the way he always went above and beyond for others left a lasting mark on us.

Now, he’s the one who needs support. Hipolito is facing an $8,000 surgery bill—an overwhelming burden for him—and we’re determined to help him get the care he urgently needs. With the support of friends and anyone moved by his story, we hope to lift this weight from his shoulders and give back to someone who has given so much.
