Stephen’s story:

 

I have been in severe pain from my left hip degeneration since October of 2021.

The hip has been giving me problems for over 6 years now, but it took until recently (last summer) to identify what the problem was.

Alberta has a waiting list of thousands of patients for hip surgery. I have been on that waiting list since March 7 of this year.

My Alberta surgeon informed me that the earliest chance I would have at getting my hip replaced was March of 2023. That date was a maybe date and would likely be much longer (according to the surgeon).

I am in so much daily, constant pain and unable to walk or do any physical activities that to wait another year for surgery just isn’t an option for me.

I reached out to the Toronto Clear Point clinic and they are able to do my hip replacement on August 5th.

This clinic is private so I will be facing a $28,000 bill for the surgery and a further $7,000 for flights and accommodations to make this all happen.

 

I am asking for your understanding and any financial help that you can give to help me to get into a pain free life again.
