Hi, Sue Rhodes here (ISU 1995-2011) hoping to raise funds for Margaret to get a hip replacement in early April 2025. Margaret has worked at ISU for over 30 years (we were pregnant together in the late 1990s when she cleaned my room!)

I've kept in touch with Margaret over the years - helping take her paper bead jewelry to the UK and the US.

Both school, and the current ISU community are raising funds and this fundraiser is for all Alumni, old teachers and previous parents to make a contribution to her needs.

The following message has been shared with the current ISU staff:

"One of ISU's long-serving cleaners, Margaret Ayoo has had the devastating news that she needs a hip replacement operation to be able to live a quality pain free and productive life. The medical insurance does not cover the full cost of this operation and hospital care. Working with a contribution from ISU, staff and friends here at ISU and Margaret's friends overseas - this is US - (many of whom are ex-ISU staff), we are starting a fundraising campaign to support Margaret through this difficult time.

We have to raise 35 million UGX as soon as possible (by the end of next week - April 4th) for Margaret.

As some of you may know, Margaret is also challenged by having a daughter who needs dialysis three times week which is also putting a strain on the family's finances.

Thanks for any support you can give, no matter how small - together we can do it."

I will send the money directly to the hospital - to help cover the cost of the operation, and via the school to support her rehabilitation after the operation.
