Sinoun a waitress in Phnom Penh was in terrible pain from her right hip. On investigation, by a Cambodian orthopaedic Surgeon Teng Soeun, her hip was found to be necrotic (the bone was rotting). Professor Teng Soeun said it was probably from an accident. Sinoun cannot remember a time, even when young, when her hip didn't hurt and of course it was getting worse.
Sinoun comes from a rural family and lives in Phnom Penh, she has had the first operation to clean up the rotting bone and is now in recovery. Her treatment, on going rehabilitation, hospital care still need to be
paid for.
Sinoun may need a hip replacement after the bone tissue starts to heal.
Funds are urgently needed to pay for on going care, pathology investigations and support so this vibrant young woman will have the life she deserves.
