Jordan and Carolynn welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Cade Walker, into the world on 3/31/2023.
We are so grateful Carolynn and Cade are now home and doing well, but the birthing process was unexpectedly scary and traumatic. Cade was so comfy in his momma that he had to be brought into the world via C-section. Unfortunately, Carolynn suffered medical complications after the C-section which required two subsequent surgeries due to internal bleeding, and a prolonged 6-day hospital stay. Here is part of what Carolynn shared about Cade's birth:
"There’s a lot I could and will say about the birth of this new life. This is Cade Walker Hinman. Born on 03/31/2023 at 2:31pm. We love our son. SO much
I’m grateful for Jesus’ love for us. He continues to show up for me in ways I don’t expect. He carried me and Jordan through the deepest valleys we’ve ever walked. This walk isn’t over, he has good plans. When death’s shadow was over me, Jesus was there. I will take heart of the promises He has for us, no matter if I’m in a desert or a garden. We saw God perform miracles over the 6 days I was in the hospital, and I can sense that is from all of the prayers from hundreds of family members, friends, and probably even strangers. There is an overflowing cup of gratitude in me knowing that I get to make more memories with Cade and Jordan. I love them very much. I still grapple with the anger and confusion of why this had to happen this way. Why did God choose me to endure the things I did? Maybe that isn’t even the right question to ask. I don’t know if I’ll ever have a complete answer, it might come in pieces as the days go by. I know that I didn’t go through this for nothing - even when I don’t see it God is working. I’m sure I’ll have more to share later, but for now, I will continue to press on in recovery while living present in the simple moments with my new family member."
The last few weeks are far from what any parent imagines when welcoming their son into the world and we want to bless Carolynn and Jordan as Carolynn focuses on her recovery and soaking up all the moments with baby Cade. Our intention is to help the Hinman's with funds to hire help to assist with house cleaning and spring yard clean-up, as well as gift cards for meals out so they can focus on their family.
If you'd like to send them a card, please mail to our office and we will collect and deliver everything to the Hinmans!
