My name is Chiquita Hindman,
I’m a 34 year-old, single mother to a special needs, 12 year-old daughter. I’m starting Hindman Janitorial & Maintenance to rise above poverty level and better provide my daughter with the essential needs for positive growth. Currently I am a full time student and mother. While my daughter is at school I am in class pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Services to later open a non-profit organization.
Due to lack of childcare and support for my daughter, securing flexible employment has been an on-going struggle over the years. By starting my own business, I could earn an income and obtain healthcare insurance to provide better for my daughter and I. Especially for my daughter who needs advanced therapy and secondary schooling for continuous development and independence. This business will even create employment opportunities for others in need. To most, steady employment, reliable transportation, stable housing and strong support systems are easy to come by and for others these things are just dreams. My daughter and I, are representation of persons struggling to survive in life with scarce resources. I am asking donors to please Go Fund Me!
The start-up cost is $25,000. Necessities to be obtained are:
1.) Reliable piece of transportation, to get to each location
2.) Insurance for vehicle
3.) Register business with the state, already have obtained EIN
4.) Open Business account and business cards
5.) Obtain OSHA license and Floor tech training
6.) Startup Janitorial and Maintenance supplies
7.) Purchase COI Insurance for company
