Himalayas Study Abroad Program
Donation protected
Ever since I was a little child I have wanted to study snow leopards in the Himalayas. I recently got accepted into Western Washington University's summer Himalayas Culture and Ecology Program. For this program I will be traveling to Ladakh, India with some of my fellow Western students to study the effects of climate change on the people of this region. We will be living with the Ladakh people in their villages for 4.5 weeks. We will also be working with the Snow Leopard Conservancy India Trust to gather information on the snow leopards living in that area. The $7000 I am trying to raise includes the cost of travel, daily living expenses, admissions (temples, parks, etc.), 10 credits through WWU, and excursions. This trip is a dream come true! This trip will also help me get one step closer to reaching my career goal of studying animals. Words cannot explain how appreciative I am of your contribution. Each dollar earned will help me get one step closer to the Himalayas.Himalayas Culture and Ecology Program Details
