Dustin Wood father to a beautiful little girl and husband to an amazing woman, Dustin was involved in a dirt bike accident on New Years Eve ( Dec 31st. Jan 1st, 2022-2023) he was out riding around the block of his neighborhood when he was hit from the side by a deer causing him to lose control of the bike he suffered a significant head injury (TBI) after being found by one of his friends, paramedics were called and he was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth Texas when he arrived the staff had told his wife to go ahead and call his family in do to the severity of his injuries they didn't believe he was gonna make it through the night but then a miracle happen the neurologist came in to examine him, he responded to a pain stimilus that was enought to rush him to the OR for a Craniotomy to give him another chance at life, after a while at JPS he was moved to Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas Texas since his arrival there he has had 7 surguries, its been a long 4 months, there has been many ups and downs, good days and bad days but he is getting stronger and improving each day, he soon will go home (May 3rd 2023) and continue his journey back to his normal life. The reason this fundraiser was created is to help out him and his family with medical bills and for all the equipment he will need for this journey to recovery.
