️ HELP US BUILD HILLTOP — MORE SPACE. MORE SUPPORT. MORE COMMUNITY. ❤️

More than 800 people come through our doors every week — because Gorebridge Parish Church is busy serving the community seven days a week, not just on Sundays.

Babies and toddlers. Young people. Families. Older people. Community groups.

But we’re bursting at the seams… WE NEED MORE SPACE!

Our halls are regularly full. Our Community Recycling Project café sometimes has more people than seats. With around 25 activities and bookings every week, we regularly have to turn away hall enquiries because we simply haven’t got the space.

We want to be able to say yes to more people. So, we’re doing something about it.

Introducing the Hilltop Community Project

Hilltop is a £760,000 redevelopment that will extend and improve our facilities, creating much-needed space for the church and wider community.

At the heart of it are the people who come through our doors — and those we could welcome if we had more room. ❤️

Hilltop will give us:

A brand-new community hall — creating flexible space for families, children and local groups.

A bigger, better kitchen — helping us provide meals, hospitality and practical support.

More space for Midlothian Foodbank — which supported around 9,600 families last year.

Room for our Community Recycling Project to grow — already welcoming over 200 regular attendees for affordable clothing, furniture, food and friendship.

‍More space for young people — our youth work already reaches over 200 young people every week.

Space for babies, toddlers and families — giving groups like Wee Scones room to flourish.

A home for Hope Springs — our planned counselling service, offering support regardless of someone’s ability to pay.

That means more people around the table, more room to join in and more support when it’s needed.

We’re already almost 70% there!

Thanks to the generosity of our congregation and charitable funders, £530,425 has already been secured towards our £760,000 target. That includes a remarkable £92,500 from our own congregation.

We’re so grateful to everyone who has helped us get this far.
