Hillside Christian School may be small, but it has a mighty way of educating children in a healthy and wholesome environment. This is how eighth-graders, Clay and Anna, explain the advantages of school at Hillside:

“At Hillside, children receive not only a practical, excellent education, but they can also flourish in a Christian atmosphere. Because of the school’s small size, we learn how to develop relationships with Christ, each other, and our teachers. From kindergarteners to eighth graders, everyone is a part of the family. 

Three recesses every day are opportunities to not only get fresh air and exercise, but to also learn vital social skills.  We have a great playground, organized games, and extensive space for creative play.  Hillside provides many special learning opportunities. The whole school enjoys field trips to plays, ballets, concerts, parks and historical sites near and far. Overall, Hillside offers a unique learning experience built around biblical principles and personalized academics. We love our school.”

If young teens feel this positively about their school, you may be asking yourself, “So what’s the problem? Why a GoFundMe campaign?” The short answer is, there is a shortfall between the modest tuition we collect from families and our expenses. For 32 years Hillside Christian School has succeeded in offering high-quality, affordable Christian education to families of a variety of income levels. We keep expenses low and work at fundraising projects throughout the year.

However, we are at a point where, in order for the school to continue, we need help to meet ongoing operating expenses. This GoFundMe financial goal will allow us to complete this school year in good shape and plan for the next. We are so thankful for each person that gives a tax deductible donation to Hillside Christian School; the school children love!
