My name is Sophie and I’m fundraising for my dear friend Helen.

On April 27th I will be running 15miles (24km), the Bristow 15mile Trail Race. This is a hilly run close to Balmoral. Those of you who know me know I am not a runner, I’m not even keen on running but we need to raise funds!!

Helen has stage 4 cancer.

She has been fighting cancer since 2019, in 2021 was given 6 months to live. 4 years later Helen is still fighting hard to live!

There is no curative treatment available to me in the U.K.

Her only hope is to go to Germany to receive ground breaking new treatment called TACE, which is a direct chemotherapy using your arteries for delivery. It has helped countless people in a similar situation to me. And although she’s very scared, she’s taking a leap of faith and try to beat this cancer once and for all.

To do this she desperately needs to find financial help to get her to Germany and to pay for this potentially life saving private treatment at a clinic in Frankfurt.

It is going to cost around £5000 per visit and Helen will need several visits to stop the tumours growing and kill her tumours.

The cancer is now in her lungs and bones and on her head. We know it is going to be hard, but Helen can do this, we know she can!!

Helen is a single mum and her youngest child is 12, he is her purpose to get up every day, to fight and to beat this monster. He needs her very much And she cannot do this on her own!

Please help no matter how small the amount it will all add up and all help.
