On December 31, 2019 while hosting a teen New Years  Eve party at the Young Life Center which he rented out,  Ben Hill got a call that his  house  was on fire. The home was a rental and the family did not have renter’s  insurance. They and their pets are all safe- however the building and most of their possessions are a total loss. The family is at the moment homeless. This is not a family that ever asks for help - in fact it’s quite the opposite. Ben is a Special Education Teacher, coach, volunteer firefighter, Chaplin, and youth mentor. I have literally witnessed him give the shoes off of his feet to a homeless man. Terri is a Special Education Para-pro,coach and part time CNA in a retirement home. Together they have 3 children and had previously taken in and adopted 4 other children  who were students at Ben’s previous school and in need of foster care. They are a close, happy resilient family - but they need help getting back on their feet after this devastating blow. Please consider donating to these incredibly worthy people.
