Help for Perico – Standing Together Against Cancer

My partner, Pedro Heredia Arce – lovingly known as Perico – is fighting colon cancer that has already spread to his liver and lungs. He lives in Chachapoyas (Peru) and is currently receiving treatment in Lima – where I am by his side.

Perico is not only a loved one. For many years, he has been dedicated to protecting endangered forests and wildlife in the Peruvian Amazon. Through his conservation and educational work, he has inspired countless people to care for our planet.

His diagnosis came out of nowhere and changed everything.

Unfortunately, many of the medical services he urgently needs are not covered by the Peruvian healthcare system. These include essential medications, imaging, lab tests, and complementary therapies.

How the funds will be used

The Helixor mistletoe therapy is intended to strengthen Perico’s immune system and ease the side effects of chemotherapy. It is not covered and must be paid fully out of pocket.

Since GoFundMe cannot transfer funds directly to Peru, donations will be managed through a Swiss bank account and used exclusively for Perico’s treatment, with transparent accounting and regular updates.

Mein Partner Pedro Heredia Arce, von allen liebevoll Perico genannt, kämpft gegen Darmkrebs, der bereits auf Leber und Lunge übergegriffen hat. Er lebt in Chachapoyas (Peru) und wird derzeit in Lima behandelt – wo ich ihn begleite.

Die Misteltherapie (Helixor) soll Pericos Immunsystem stärken und die Nebenwirkungen der Chemotherapie lindern. Sie ist komplett selbst zu bezahlen.

Da GoFundMe keine direkten Überweisungen nach Peru ermöglicht, werden die Spenden über mein Schweizer Konto verwaltet und ausschliesslich für Pericos Behandlung verwendet – mit transparenter Buchführung und regelmässigen Updates.

Ayuda para Perico – Unidos contra el cáncer

Mi pareja, Pedro Heredia Arce, a quien todos llaman cariñosamente Perico, está luchando contra un cáncer de colon que ya se ha extendido al hígado y a los pulmones. Vive en Chachapoyas (Perú) y actualmente recibe tratamiento en Lima – donde lo acompaño.

Perico no es solo un ser querido. Desde hace muchos años se dedica a la protección de bosques y especies amenazadas en la Amazonía peruana. Con su trabajo de conservación y educación ha inspirado a muchas personas a cuidar nuestro planeta.

Su diagnóstico llegó de manera inesperada y lo cambió todo.

Lamentablemente, muchos de los servicios médicos que necesita con urgencia no están cubiertos por el sistema de salud peruano. Entre ellos se incluyen medicamentos esenciales, estudios de imagen, análisis de laboratorio y terapias complementarias.

La terapia de muérdago Helixor ayudará a fortalecer el sistema inmunológico de Perico y a aliviar los efectos secundarios de la quimioterapia. No está cubierta por el seguro y debe pagarse íntegramente de forma privada.

Como GoFundMe no permite transferencias directas a Perú, las donaciones se gestionarán desde mi cuenta suiza y se usarán exclusivamente para el tratamiento de Perico, con contabilidad transparente y actualizaciones periódicas.
