Gemeinsam für Mats und Jana – Hoffnung schenken, Zeit gewinnen

Manchmal verändert eine einzige Nachricht das ganze Leben.

Vor kurzer Zeit erhielt meine Schwägerin Jana die Diagnose Krebs.

Krebs der nicht heilbar ist. Von einem Moment auf den anderen sind Zukunftspläne, Träume und Selbstverständlichkeiten nicht mehr da.

Die Ärzte können nicht sagen, wie viel gemeinsame Zeit Mats und Jana noch bleibt.

Nach aktuellen Prognosen spricht man von einem Jahr.

Auch wenn solche Prognosen niemals Gewissheit bedeuten, hat diese Einschätzung ihr Leben von einem Tag auf den anderen verändert. Umso wichtiger ist es, jede Möglichkeit zu nutzen und die gemeinsame Zeit so intensiv und bewusst wie möglich zu erleben.

Deshalb möchten wir ihnen helfen, deutschlandweit Spezialisten aufzusuchen, weitere Untersuchungen durchführen zu lassen und zusätzliche Therapieansätze zu prüfen. Jede neue Chance, jede medizinische Einschätzung und jede mögliche Behandlung kann wertvolle Zeit schenken.

Doch bei dieser Unterstützung geht es nicht nur um medizinische Maßnahmen.

Es geht auch darum, die gemeinsame Zeit bewusst zu erleben. Um besondere Momente, gemeinsame Ausflüge, den Traum von einer Reise, kleine und große Herzenswünsche und Erinnerungen, die bleiben. Es geht darum, trotz dieser schweren Diagnose noch möglichst viele Augenblicke voller Liebe, Freude und Nähe miteinander zu verbringen.

Die finanziellen Belastungen durch Fahrten zu Spezialisten, Untersuchungen, Therapien und die vielen zusätzlichen Kosten sind enorm. Gleichzeitig möchten wir Mats und Jana die Möglichkeit geben, ihre Kraft nicht ausschließlich für Sorgen und finanzielle Belastungen aufbringen zu müssen, sondern für das, was jetzt am wichtigsten ist: das Leben und die gemeinsame Zeit.

Together for Mats and Jana – Giving Hope, Gaining Time

Sometimes a single piece of news can change everything.

A short while ago, my sister-in-law Jana was diagnosed with cancer – a diagnosis that, according to current medical knowledge, is not curable. In an instant, future plans, dreams, and the things that once felt certain were overshadowed by fear, worry, and uncertainty.

No one can say with certainty how much time Mats and Jana have left together. Based on the current medical assessment, they have been told to expect approximately twelve months. While such prognoses can never provide absolute certainty, this reality has changed their lives from one day to the next. That is why it is so important to make the most of every opportunity and to cherish every moment they have together.

We want to help them explore every possible option by consulting specialists across Germany, undergoing further examinations, and evaluating additional treatment approaches. Every new opportunity, every medical opinion, and every potential treatment could help provide valuable time.

But this support is about more than medical care alone.

It is also about making the most of the time they have together. About creating meaningful moments, enjoying trips and excursions, fulfilling the dream of a special journey, making small and big wishes come true, and creating memories that will last forever. It is about experiencing as many moments of love, joy, and togetherness as possible despite this devastating diagnosis.
