What happens when a self built campervan meets the Arctic winter?
In March 2027, I’m setting off on a 15 day expedition through Swedish Lapland with my camper, PlanB Van. Temperatures can drop below -25°C, roads may disappear beneath snow and ice, and every single day will be a new challenge.
This isn’t a luxury vacation or a sponsored trip. It’s a personal adventure that I’ve been dreaming about for years. PlanB Van wasn’t bought ready to go. I built it myself, transforming it step by step into an overland camper designed for real adventures.
Every modification, every repair and every upgrade represents countless hours of work and a passion for exploring places beyond the usual tourist routes. Now it’s time to put everything to the ultimate test. The Arctic is beautiful, but it is also unforgiving. Extreme cold, frozen roads and unpredictable weather will challenge both me and the vehicle. That’s exactly why I want to do it. Throughout the expedition, I’ll share everything exactly as it happens. The breathtaking scenery, frozen lakes, snow covered forests, the Northern Lights, unexpected setbacks, mechanical challenges and the everyday reality of living in a camper during an Arctic winter. Why I’m asking for your support Preparing for an Arctic expedition is expensive, especially when safety comes first.
Your support will help cover:
• Fuel for thousands of kilometers
• Winter tires, recovery and safety equipment
• Vehicle maintenance and emergency repairs
• Campsites, ferries and travel expenses • Camera equipment
