Hilf mir, meinen Traum zu verwirklichen: ein Intensivkurs Deutsch in Berlin!
Hallo! Mein Name ist Kevin Augusto und ich sammle Spenden, um einen Intensivkurs Deutsch in Berlin zu absolvieren, der drei Monate dauert. Der Kurs wird von der Volkshochschule (VHS) angeboten, die für ihr hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bekannt ist. Jeder Kursabschnitt dauert 6 Wochen mit 4 Unterrichtsstunden pro Woche à 4 Stunden, zusätzlich zu 2 bis 3 Stunden täglichen Hausaufgaben. Mein Ziel ist es, zwei aufeinanderfolgende Module abzuschließen, also insgesamt 12 Wochen Unterricht.
Laut der Volkshochschule City West kostet jedes Modul 244 Euro. Zusätzlich muss ich die Lebenshaltungskosten berücksichtigen, die etwa 650 Euro monatlich für die Miete eines Zimmers in Berlin betragen. Außerdem rechne ich mit durchschnittlich 50 Euro pro Woche für Verpflegung, was insgesamt 600 Euro für den gesamten Zeitraum ausmacht.
Ich komme aus einer bescheidenen Familie aus dem Inneren von Minas Gerais, Brasilien. Ich bin an die Universität gekommen und konnte dort bleiben dank des finanziellen Unterstützungssystems für einkommensschwache Studierende. Außerdem habe ich mein gesamtes Studium stets mit einem Praktikum kombiniert.
Warum Deutschland?
Ich bin Student der Verlagswissenschaften und stehe kurz vor dem Abschluss meines Studiums in Brasilien. Seit Beginn meines Studiums ist Deutschland eine wichtige Referenz in meinem Fachbereich, da es zusammen mit den USA und China zu den größten Buchmärkten der Welt gehört. Die Teilnahme an der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2024 war eine prägende Erfahrung, die meinen Wunsch bekräftigt hat, die deutsche Sprache zu lernen und das redaktionelle Umfeld des Landes besser kennenzulernen.
Darüber hinaus habe ich 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung, darunter Tätigkeiten bei der Editora Laboratório der Fakultät für Literaturwissenschaften der UFMG. Ich bin überzeugt, dass dieser Kurs entscheidend dazu beitragen wird, meine beruflichen Chancen zu erweitern und neue globale Perspektiven zu eröffnen.
Mein Weg zur deutschen Sprache
Ich lerne seit eineinhalb Jahren Deutsch, sowohl autodidaktisch als auch in Kursen, die von der Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais und dem Instituto Politécnico de Bragança in Portugal angeboten wurden. Derzeit befinde ich mich auf Niveau A2 und bin überzeugt, dass ein Intensivkurs, kombiniert mit kultureller Immersion, entscheidend ist, um mein Ziel zu erreichen: das Niveau B2.

Hi! My name is Kevin Augusto, and I’m raising funds to take an intensive German course in Berlin, lasting 3 months. The course will be offered by Volkshochschule (VHS), known for its excellent cost-effectiveness. Each module lasts 6 weeks, with 4 weekly classes of 4 hours each, plus 2 to 3 hours of daily homework. My goal is to complete two consecutive modules, totaling 12 weeks of study.
According to Volkshochschule City West, each module costs 244 euros. Additionally, I need to consider living expenses, which are around 650 euros per month to rent a room in Berlin. I also estimate an average of 50 euros per week for food, totaling 600 euros for the entire period.
I come from a humble family from the countryside of Minas Gerais, Brazil. I got into university and was able to stay there thanks to the financial support system for low-income students. Moreover, my academic journey has always been a balance between studying and internships.
Why Germany?
I’m a Publishing student and about to finish my degree in Brazil. Since the beginning of my studies, Germany has been a key reference in my field, being one of the largest publishing markets in the world, alongside the US and China. Participating in the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2024 was a transformative experience, reinforcing my desire to learn the language and dive deeper into the country’s editorial environment.
Moreover, I have 3 years of professional experience, including working at the Editora Laboratório of the Faculty of Letters at UFMG. I believe this course will be essential to expand my career opportunities and connect with new global perspectives.
My German language journey
I have been studying German for a year and a half, both independently and in courses offered by Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and Instituto Politécnico de Bragança in Portugal. Currently, I’m at level A2, and I believe that an intensive course, combined with cultural immersion, will be crucial to reaching my goal of advancing to level B2.
