Help Us Escape the War in Gaza and Rebuild Our Lives
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Dana
I am 19 years old
and I live in the city of Gaza where I was born and have spent my entire life.
I will now write you a summary of 576 days of war.
I cry for what I have been through.
My father was martyred.
And now I fear losing another member of my family.
My house was destroyed.
My mother can't find her heart medication.
And my city that was destroyed.
How can a person go through this situation?
How many wars do we live through, and each war makes us more horrific, each war increases our psychological and physical suffering, and even adds years to our lives, years we are not fit to live.
To choose a memory and quickly destroy another.
Or I think about whether I will survive or not.
Or if I survive
will the rockets erase the memory?
Or will I be a memory?
This saying applies here.
The failure of education for two years
Families were scattered.
Fear prevailed.
The houses were destroyed or damaged.
The roads were destroyed, they are no longer as they were.
Cars are afraid to go out.
The internet was cut off because of it.
The electricity and water were cut off.
The solar panels didn't survive.
Food, water, and gas supplies have run out.
If there is nothing, the prices are high.
There are no qualifications for life.
Far from the noise of the terrifying Western sounds
And the flares
And the sound of the plane that weighs down and its noise doesn't stop for days.
And diseases spread quickly.
It is very painful to see the injured in the street.
Their sad eyes from leaving their homes.
Their muffled cries for the loss of their loved ones.
Their plight due to the frequent movement between checkpoints and the difficulty of adapting.
And their intense fear of not returning to their homes safely.
Even the UNRWA schools, which are supposed to be safe, and hospitals of all kinds, as well as nursing homes, are targeted. There is no safe place.
It is difficult to communicate with us internally and externally.
We are targeted if we go out to get medicine or food.
Unlike phosphorus, the internationally banned danger that is used against us.
Of course.
And the civil defense and ambulance vehicles, which are insufficient for the magnitude of the destruction.
The cemeteries are no longer spacious.
No one knows where their dead are.
To increase the number of victims, including children, women, and the elderly.
Due to the numerous burial sites.
Unfortunately, this pain is too great to be described by these words.
Or even our souls are bleeding from the inside.
Or the fear of homes and the weeping of the people in Gaza.
Because of our fear and our dreams locked behind a thousand doors.
Or those heartbeats filled with anxiety that pound without hesitation against your chest where there is no echo but fear.
It tramples on your body charged with anger, sadness, and suffocation, and perhaps death.
...
You won't understand its meaning, your soul is slowly being consumed.
And you lose something inside you.
The important thing is to always talk.
Because the war is still ongoing.
End:
I will use the money I collect to cover all expenses for leaving Gaza and settling abroad.
Leaving the Gaza Strip on regular days is extremely difficult, and leaving during wartime is even more impossible. You need to obtain foreign citizenship or pay some money to put your name on the list of those leaving. Leaving the Gaza Strip on regular days is extremely difficult, and during wartime, it is even more impossible. You need to obtain foreign citizenship or pay some money to put your name on the list of travelers through the Rafah crossing. Since we do not have foreign passports, we will need to pay money to pass through the Rafah crossing, which we do not own. The cost of being listed is about $5,000 per person and $2,500 for children under 12, not including other travel and settlement costs. I have 5 other family members, and I need to list our names on the list. We are trying to raise $50,000 to leave this war zone as soon as possible.
