This is Hilda. She was born on April 5, 2022, in a field in Kansas. Thanks to Path of Hope Rescue, she and her littermates traveled to Spokane on July 7, 2022. During a routine exam, her heart murmur was found. Path of Hope did an amazing job of getting her the care she needed. She had a procedure done where they put a balloon in her heart. Once healed, she spent the next several months at her foster family's home until she made her way to us. We love them just a little bit broken. Daily meds, cool. Extra vet visits, we got it.
During one of her visits to WSU, they discovered that her first surgery wasn't working the way they hoped. We changed meds and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, the meds didn't work. Our next, and only option, is another surgery. They want to do a high-pressure balloon to stop the flow of blood going back and forth in her heart.
If you could help us save, even a little bit, we would be so incredibly grateful. She is an amazingly wonderful girl. She's an excellent mommy to all of the foster kittens and puppies that have been through our home. She loves every single dog she meets. Her best friend is a former foster puppy who comes to visit all the time. Because of the current status of her heart, she can only play for short bursts before she has to nap. We want to give her the best quality of life that we can. She's been through so much in her short life.
Thank you for reading her story. And thank you for donating.
