I made this gofundme to raise money to help out my dad. He and my mom were married for 50 years and he was not prepared for my moms sudden death.

My mom passed away August 12 2023 so suddenly. She had been battling cancer since April of this year. Her prognosis was good and the cancer was pretty much gone and things were looking good. She started a new round of chemo in late July she never had before and immediately starting to get a little sick each day. We thought it was a cold or a flu. She wasn’t getting better so decided to go into the hospital August the 5th. It was this point we did not know she would never come home again.

in the hospital she eventually grew worse as the days went by. She had pneumonia and some fluid in her lungs. She was struggling to breath and we made the difficult decision to put her on a ventilator and keep her sedated while her body tries to fight this. We all talked to her and told her we loved her and she was going to make it through this cause she was strong. Little did we know this would be the last time we talked to her. The next day the doctors were telling us she was getting better and we were hopeful she would come off the ventilator soon. I went to sleep that night finally able to relax cause I was feeling hopeful. Then later that night we got the call her body was shutting down. We did not want her on life support cause we knew she didn’t want that. We went to the hospital to say our last goodbyes. My mom was not conscious but I know she heard us. I am still in shock this happened and can’t believe I lost someone that I talked to everyday and shared my life with. I am not sure how to go on but I hope each day gets better.

Due to this unforeseen circumstance, my dad was not prepared for a funeral arrangement. He thought we had more time. Any funds donated will go toward her funeral costs.
