This July, I’ll be hiking Mount Kilimanjaro alongside eight amazing women, and I’m doing it in honor of my grandpa, Richard Oates.

He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He’s always been a source of strength and inspiration in my life. This climb is my way of showing love and appreciation to him—and to all veterans who’ve given so much for our country.

We’re aiming to raise $10,000 for Nation’s Finest, a nonprofit that provides housing, health services, and support to veterans locally in Reno. Every dollar goes directly to helping those who need it most and is a 501(c)(3) non profit.

It’s a big mountain, but with a meaningful reason behind every step, we’re ready for the challenge!!!
