Hey,
On Sunday 12th October, the Hike & Soul gals are welcoming the dawn together. We're walking at sunrise to raise some spondoolies for the local Samaritans in Hull
The Dawn Walk is in ‘celebration’ of World Mental Health Day, in solidarity with those struggling to cope (The Samaritans)
We’ll start at North Ferriby, walk along the Humber Estuary to Hessle Foreshore, stopping for a quick brew, then walk back, totaling 6 miles (there & back)
We'd love it if you would support us by sponsoring us!
Samaritans is there for anyone struggling to cope - day or night, 365 days a year. They take action to prevent people reaching crisis point, helping people find ways to cope & learn the skills to be there for others. They campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.
Where will your money go…
£25 could train, support & retain each existing volunteer
£44 could help run the online chat service for 1 hour
£133 could help cover the costs of recruiting & training a new listening volunteer to answer a call for help
All funds will go to The Samaritans Hull
If you find you are suffering with your mental health or know someone who is, the Hub of Hope is an organisation which helps people find support in their area: https://hubofhope.co.uk/
If you find yourself in crisis or having thoughts of suicide, please remember you are not alone. Should you need professional help, The Samaritans number is 116 123, they offer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
We thank you in advance
Love Jodie & the Hike & Soul gals x
