Hike For Dan - 8 Peak Lake District Challenge
Our hearts are shattered, our tears are endless, and our minds are consumed with the memory of our dear friend Dan. The news of his untimely passing on that devastating Thursday 16th March has left us all feeling empty and broken.
Dan, the most selfless and compassionate person we have ever known, suffered in silence. It pains us to think that he may have been carrying a burden that he didn't share with anyone. And that's why we must honor his memory by raising awareness and funds to help others who may be silently suffering.
Hiking was one of Dan's newfound passions. He loved being outdoors, surrounded by nature's beauty, and finding solace in the challenge of scaling new heights. That's why we've decided to undertake the daunting task of hiking the 8 peaks challenge in his honor.
We want to make this hike more than just a fundraising effort. We want it to be a time and place where people can come together, share their troubles, and find the support they need. Dan was the kind of person who went above and beyond for everyone he met, and we want to continue his legacy of kindness.
We will be hiking the 8 peaks challenge which will include:
Rossett Pike (651m)
Allen Crags (784m)
Ill Crag (930m)
Broad Crag (934m)
Scafell Pike (978m)
Great End (907m)
Esk Pike (885m)
Bow fell (903m)
8 of Britain’s largest mountains each of them nearly a kilometre tall.
We are asking for your help, your support, and your love. Please consider sponsoring us on this journey to raise funds for the Mind charity. Every donation, no matter how small, could help make a difference in someone's life.
And if you want to join us on this hike, we welcome you with open arms. Whether you knew Dan or not, just reach out to us, and we'll give you all the details you need. Let's make Dan proud, and let's try to make a difference in the lives of those who need it.
