Hiking Appalachian Trail for Crohn’s Awareness

Hello, my name is Danny and I have Chron's Disease. This March I am planning to hike the Appalachian Trail from New Jersey to Georgia to raise awareness for Crohn’s Disease.
During just the first week of this drive, we raised enough money for all of the camping gear! Thank you so much everyone for your generosity!
But I still need to collect more funds to make this trip a success. I am in need of donations for food (a big one), care packages that I will mail to myself along the trail, additional footware, a mobile device so that I can post updates, and camping costs. The urgency:
I plan to depart on March 17th and my resources will be very limited. During the 7-month trip I will frequently be in need of money for food. So your contributions now, or during the trip will be greatly appreciated
How far will I be traveling?
I intend to hike for 1700 miles through the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and finally Georgia!
How long will it take?
My best estimate is that it will be a 7 month journey.
What this means to me:
I have suffered from Crohn’s Disease for most of my adult life. Recently I found out that I will soon need a colostomy bag. This is not something I'm looking forward to. So I’m doing this hike because I want to show others that we are often stronger than we realize.
Why am I thankful?
I am immensely thankful that people are giving me the opportunity to change my outlook in life. Limitations can be depressing but a lot of the damage we suffer is in our minds. By completing this hike I hope to prove to myself what my true potential is. And when it's over I intend to start a new life for myself, and hopefully stay hospital free
