Complete The Highwayman Movie!
The Highwayman motion picture was begun a number of years back. It is a movie based on Alfred Noyes' famous poem. Circumstances stopped the movie 10 days short of completion. We are now in the process of creating a rough cut of the movie with plans to shoot the final scenes in 2018. Be a part of this!
The footage shot to date captures many fantastic performances at many lovely locations in Colorado used to replicate 18th century England, including the, Boettcher Mansion on Lookout Mountain, the Colorado Governor's Mansion in Denver, Zang Mansion in Denver, Hildebrand Ranch at the Denver Botanical Gardens in Douglas County, the Community Center in Louviers and the Colorado Horse Park in Parker. We also have establishing footage shot for us in Hampshire, England. You can see stills and footage on our website: http://www.thehighwaymanmovie.com
The funds raised will be used to pay the cast and crew, rent equipment, cover insurance and other location costs, feed the crew and build sets and props. We have all the costumes still and most of the original props and sets. New props and sets needed are for scenes at locations never used before. Darlene Cypser, the writer and producer, who also scouted the locations and built most of the sets and props and some of the costumes, will not take a salary from her work from these funds. (She never has.) But she believes strongly in paying cast and crew.
